But what was it like to rag her
juniors when she officially became a senior herself ? “We just made
them go through the simple song and dance routines, hackneyed stuff
like proposing a guy or girl, asking them to get goodies from home
for us to gorge on and made them run around for all kind of odd
jobs,” she says.
However, it wasn’t all play and no work for her. She learnt a
lot here. “We had a lot of fun alright, but college also helped me
discover my real self, helping me realise what I wanted from life
and how to go about it,” she explains.
But, they did used to bunk classes? “We used to bunk classes and
go for long drives. It was at that time that I had acquired my
driving licence and I would drive my friends to pizza outlets or
theatres,” she recalls.
And did she follow a fitness regime even then? “Since I was the
captain of the hockey and basketball team in my school, I wanted to
take took up sports in college too. But , I couldn’t as I started
modelling in my first year of college itself and that kept me busy,”
she says.
Any sweet college crushes? “Oh, I never had a crush on anyone in
college, but I’m sure, there were a number of them who had a crush
on me,” she smiles.

So, what was it like going to college
for the first time? “Life was great and it was a freedom of sorts. We
were finally on our own. Things were completely opposite to what they
were in school and you had the full liberty to rediscover yourself,” she
says. Meyhar was a student of business administration.
Although, ragging is the first thing that crosses the mind of any
fresher in the first few days of college, Meyhar was lucky as she was
spared. “Interestingly, I was never ragged. Actually, most of my seniors
were from my school and they took me under their belt. In fact, I was
ragging my own classmates along with them, which was rather funny, until
they realised that I was in the same class as them!,” she says.
